Patna, Feb. 21 -- BJP MP and former union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said on Saturday that the proposed Sonepur airport would be the largest in South Asia.
Talking to media, Rudy expressed his gratitude to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for approving the proposal to construct an international airport at Sonepur. He said the project marks a major milestone for Bihar.
Rudy said the target has been set to complete the construction of the airport within the next five years. He said the proposed airport will spread across 4,200 acres, adding that establishing an international airport in Sonepur was one of his ambitions, which has now been realised.
