Varanasi, Jan. 31 -- Police on Saturday initiated the process of seizing properties linked to the main accused, Shubham Jaiswal, and his father, Bhola Jaiswal, in the case of smuggling of banned cough syrup containing codeine.
Kotwali Robertsganj in-charge Nagesh Singh said properties at seven locations in Varanasi are to be seized. These include one property in Shivpur, five in Jagdishpur of Pindra, and one in Madhauli.
The total estimated value of the properties to be seized is approximately Rs six crore, including both movable and immovable assets. Property worth approximately Rs 76 lakh belonging to Shubham Jaiswal was seized in Shivpur.
