Srinagar, Oct. 8 -- Gitanjali Angmo, wife of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, met him at Jodhpur jail, marking their first meeting since his detention under the National Security Act (NSA) on September 26.

Angmo's visit yesterday came a day after the Supreme Court issued notices to the Centre and the Ladakh administration in response to her petition seeking Wangchuk's immediate release.

She was accompanied by lawyer Ritam Khare during the visit.

After the meeting, Angmo shared on X that they had received a copy of the detention order, which they plan to challenge through legal means.
