Jaipur, Sept. 27 -- Leh-based climate activist Sonam Wangchuk whose stir for demand for statehood for Ladakh turned violent there on Wednesday, was shifted to the High Security Jodhpur Jail late last night following his arrest in Leh on Friday.
In a sudden development, Wangchuk who was spearheading a crusade for statehood for Ladakh, after the arrest yesterday afternoon was booked under the National Security Act (NSA) and subsequently sent to Jodhpur by special flight late last night.
This move was made so secretly that even people of Sun City Jodhpur came to know about it Saturday morning only. Wangchuk is accused of "inciting violence" during the demonstrations on Wednesday.
