PEOPLE -IAS/IRS

Shimla, April 24 -- Pratham Yambur (23) of Kamru village in Sangla Valley of Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh has succeeded in the UPSC examination. He secured 841st rank in his second attempt. Pratham's father Vyas Sundar is a gardener and mother Rajdevi is an Anganwadi worker.

Pratham was earlier selected for the post of assistant commandant in CISF through UPSC. But his goal was to become an IAS officer. Apart from being a meritorious student, Pratham has been actively participating in sports and co-curricular activities. He has attributed his success to his parents and teachers.
