Lucknow, Sept. 8 -- A major case of impersonation and exam fraud has been uncovered during the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2025 held in the state capital, Lucknow. The incident took place at Government Girls' Inter College, Jiamau exam centre, where biometric and iris mismatches exposed a solver gang operating within the examination system.

Around 11:30 am on Sunday, the control room flagged an issue when the iris scan of an examinee, identified as Sumit Yadav, son of Rajmani Yadav, failed to match the UIDAI database. The biometric team and centre officials rushed to the spot, where the Aadhaar QR code also failed to generate a valid response, and a "Biometric Mismatch Error" was displayed.
