Srinagar, Aug. 12 -- A soldier lost his life after slipping into a deep gorge along the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said today.
They said the incident occurred yesterday in the Bijhama area of Uri sector when 30-year-old Sepoy Banoth Anil Kumar, a resident of Telangana, accidentally slipped into a gorge while patrolling near the LoC.
The Army Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said they deeply regret the loss of the precious life of Braveheart, Sepoy Banoth Anil Kumar, while performing operational duty along the Line of Control in Baramulla district.
