Bhopal, June 26 -- As part of ceaseless endeavours vis-a-vis promoting renewable energy, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath will lay the foundation stone on Friday for a 650-kW Rooftop Solar Energy Plant at the Central Police Training Academy that shall be supplied electricity at Rs 1.38 per unit, it was officially learnt.

The facility is being installed in cooperation with the Urja Vikas Nigam. Approximately 4,500 MW - which translates into about a fifth of the state's total power - is being generated from solar, wind, biomass and small hydro projects.
