Solapur BJP workers oppose entry of leaders from other parties

Solapur, Oct. 22 -- While Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is reportedly spearheading 'Operation Lotus' to woo four former Solapur MLAs into the BJP, party office bearers have publicly voiced opposition to the move, particularly against the potential induction of ex-Congress MLA Dilip Mane.

The four former legislators- Rajan Patil and Yashwant Mane (both from NCP-AP), Babanrao Shinde (NCP-SP), and Dilip Mane (Congress)- are said to be in talks to join the BJP under the initiative of party leader Jaykumar Gore.

However, grassroots BJP workers fear that bringing in multiple outsiders at once could create a separate faction within the party and marginalize long-time loyal members.
