New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Rural belt's prominent voice Surender Solanki today said that many farmers in several villages of South West Delhi are facing losses with their crops being spoiled due to the water standing in their fields, and urged the government to provide them with necessary relief.

Solanki, who went to meet the affected farmers, said that in villages including Dhansa, Isapur, Jharoda, Mundela, Kair, Kanganheri, Rawta, Ghumanhera and Dichhaon Kalan, due to flood-like situation in the fields, the crops of Paddy, Bajra, and Jowar are being destroyed, resulting in huge losses for the farmers.

He claimed that every year water comes from the Haryana side and almost a dozen villages get affected.
