Srinagar, May 16 -- A Social Media Chanel (SMC) was booked and notice was issued to several reporters for revealing the name of a rape victims of central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, a senior police officer said on Thursday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal said Khalil Ahmad Paswal said a social media channel was booked for disclosing identity of rape victims.
He said notice has also been issued to certain SMC reporters for identifying the victim.
A teenage girl was recently raped in Ganderbal district and the accused has been arrested.
