Chandigarh, Nov. 21 -- A dairy farmer from Hisar, who lost five cattle after consuming a suspected poisonous substance, has received support from a social organisation that donated a buffalo worth Rs 1.25 lakh to help him revive his livelihood.

The farmer, Deepak Sharma from Kheri Jalab village, relied solely on selling milk to sustain his family and had no other source of income or agricultural land. The sudden death of his livestock left him in shock and without means to support his household.

On Friday, Ranbir Lohan, Chairman of Yari International India, visited Deepak's home and donated a high-quality buffalo to ensure his income could continue.
