Chennai, Jan. 14 -- Tamil film star and aspiring politician Rajinikanth on Tuesday said social and political decay is rife in the society.
Addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of Tamil magazine Thuglak here, he said fearless and objective journalism is needed to present the actual facts. It is essential to have a journalist like Cho Ramaswamy.
Stressing upon the importance of neutral media, he said ''times are bad and politics is turbulent. It is only journalists who can save our nation. Journalists should separate truth from the false and do not make false the truth,'' he further said.
He praised Thuglak magazine founder Cho Ramaswamy as born genius and said he was fearless in his pursuit of journalism.
