Shimla , Feb. 1 -- The major spell of rain and snowfall continues in major tourist resorts in the state for a second day today as all the high reaches are draped with a thick blanket of snowfall, plummeting the mercury in the state.

Tourist resort Manali had 15 cm of snowfall on Wednesday. Narkanda, Dalhousie, and Kufri have also had snowfall since last night. According to the Met Office, Manali received 15 cm of snowfall, Narkanda 20 cm, Kufri 3, Keylong 13 mm, Kukumseri 18 cm, Kalpa 5 cm, and Bharmour 13 cm.

Chirgaon in Rohru got the heaviest: 75cm, Kothi 50 cm, snowfall, Khadrala 16 cm. Sangla-12.2 cm, Koksar in Lahaul Spiti 16.2 cm, Sumdho 4.8 cm, and Shilaroo in Shimla-15 cm.
