Los Angeles, Dec. 17 -- Christmas Day football is getting a festive musical upgrade, with Snoop Dogg confirmed as the headline performer for this year's NFL holiday halftime show.

The veteran performer will light up the interval of the Minnesota Vikings versus Detroit Lions game on December 25, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Titled Snoop's Holiday Halftime Party, the show will unfold at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and is expected to blend the artist's chart-topping hits with seasonal flair and celebratory pageantry. Organisers have teased appearances by special guest performers, though their identities remain undisclosed.
