Chandigarh, Dec. 6 -- Widespread disruptions during the Block Committee nomination process across Punjab have intensified concerns over the state's law-and-order situation. Several incidents of snatching and tearing of nomination papers were reported from multiple districts, prompting criticism of the police and the administration under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Patiala emerged as the epicentre of these disturbances, with six FIRs registered in separate incidents of intimidation and document destruction.
