Chandigarh, April 7 -- In a daring incident that has raised concerns over public safety in high-security zones, two motorcycle-borne snatchers targeted an elderly woman in Jalandhar's upscale Urban Estate Phase-2 area.
The crime took place in a street situated in proximity to the residence of Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat. The perpetrators managed to flee the scene after forcibly snatching gold earrings from the victim, even as the entire episode was captured by nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
