Chennai, June 18 -- The ball tampering row which surfaced in the ongoing
Tamil Nadu Premier League T20 cricket championship was closed on Wednesday
after Siechem Madurai Panthers (SMP) withdrew its complaint against Dindigul
Dragons (DD) led by former Indian offie Ravichandran Ashwin.
The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) said this evening that in the light of
the withdrawal of the complaint, the matter is deemed closed and no further action
shall be pursued.
The TNCA said SMP had submitted a formal complaint alleging ball tampering
by players of the Dindigul Dragons, pursuant to concerns raised by their coaching
staff.
