Kolkata, March 5 -- Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMP Kolkata) marked the beginning of the 54th National Safety Week, from March 4 to 10 with a ceremonious inauguration at the Netaji Subhas Dock of SMP on Wednesday.
The National Safety Week at Kolkata was inaugurated by Rathendra Raman, Chairman, SMP Kolkata.
The event was observed with active participation from dock workers, CISF jawans and port users reinforcing the collective responsibility towards fostering a safe, efficient and resilient port ecosystem.
