New Delhi, Jan. 6 -- A day after bail was denied to Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Iman in connection with the Delhi riots case, a group of students at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) reportedly raised slogans against PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

A purported video circulating on social media in which students were seen holding a protest inside the JNU campus against the bail denial to Imam and Khalid , allegedly chanting derogatory slogans against the Prime Minister and Home Minister. The protest reportedly took place on Monday night.

Meanwhile, taking to the social media platform X, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla stated that the controversial slogans were allegedly chanted by the 'Tukde' ecosystem in JNU.
