New Delhi, Nov. 30 -- National capital's average air quality level witnessed a little improvement on Saturday, with the pollution numbers witnessing a drop by 64 points, but remained in the 'very poor' category.
However, there was not much respite for the residents, as the Average Air Quality Index (AQI) on Saturday was recorded at 305, as per the Central Pollution Control Board's daily bulletin.
According to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), ventilation index is likely to be 6800 m2/s on Sunday, which suggests that the AQI may improve a little more, as the ventilation index above 6000 m2/s with average wind speed more than 10 kmph is favorable for dispersion of pollutants.
