Mysuru, Sept. 26 -- Saraswathi Samman awardee and acclaimed Kannada novelist SL Bhyrappa, who passed away in Bengaluru on September 24, was cremated with full State honours in Mysuru today.
Bhyrappa's mortal remains were transported from Bengaluru to Mysuru on September 25 and kept at Kalamandira, where a large number of admirers, literary enthusiasts, and political leaders paid their last respects.
Among those present were former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Mysuru district-in-charge Minister HC Mahadevappa, union Minister of Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi, MLA TS Srivatsa, former MP Pratap Simha, and Mysuru district Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy.
