Seoul, Jan. 31 -- The South Korean government condemns the recent demonstration by North Korea of its nuclear material production capacities and its plan to strengthen the "nuclear shield," the Ministry of Unification said on Friday.
"The government strongly condemns that North Korea, like last year, once again demonstrated its uranium enrichment infrastructure and mentioned the constant strengthening of its 'nuclear shield'," deputy spokesperson Kim In-ae told a news briefing.
Seoul urged Pyongyang to end its nuclear program immediately and accept its proposal to hold denuclearization negotiations.
