Mangaluru, Sept. 9 -- In a sensational development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged mass burial case in Dakshina Kannada district has recovered skeletal remains from Bangale Gudde, a remote forested stretch, during a spot mahazar, lending fresh momentum to the months-long investigation.
The recovery, made in the presence of Soujanya's relative, Vithal Gowda, included at least two sets of human skeletal remains. According to police, Gowda exhumed a human skull on the instructions of activist Girish Mattannavar, who had secured the information from Chinnaiah - the prime accused in the case, presently lodged in judicial custody.
