Puri, Feb. 12 -- The Anasar ritual of lord Jagannath and his elder Balabhadra and devi Subhadra will be observed for thirteen days instead of fifteen days this year as per the almanac.

Usually Anasar ritual is observed for a fortnight before commencement of the annual Rath Yatra.

Important rituals like "Ubha yatra" and "Netro Utshav" will be performed simultaneously. Deities will appear in a new youthful image and priests will perform all the required nitees of the Vesha but no public darshan will be allowed.

The "Pana Sankranti", the birthday of Hanuman will be observed on April 14 in the Sri Jagannath temple.
