Aizawl, Nov. 27 -- The Fast Track Court in Kolasib district in northern Mizoram on Thursday sentenced a 67-year-old man to 10 years imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs. 7,000 for sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl and sent him to the district jail after pronouncement of the quantum of punishment.
R. Vanlalena, judge of the Fast Track Court convicted Vanlalruata (67), who was accused of sexually abusing a minor girl under section 6 of Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act 2012 popularly known as POCSO Act.
