Sixteen looted and illegal weapons and ammunition surrendered in Churachandpur

Imphal, Feb. 22 -- Sixteen looted and illegal weapons and ammunition were surrendered to authority at Tuibong Village, Churachandpur District, on Saturday.

The voluntarily surrendered looted and illegal weapons and ammunition included M-16 Rifle, 7.62 mm SLR, AK Rifles, INSAS Rifles, M-79 40mm Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), 9mm Carbine Machine Gun, 51 mm Mortar, .303 Rifles, Single Barrel Rifles, 64 Gelatine Sticks, Ten rounds of 60 mm Pumpi (improvised Mortar) ammunition, 17 rounds of AK ammunition, 40 rounds of 5.56 mm Rifle ammunition and three 9 mm Calibre ammunition.
