Mumbai, Dec. 2 -- The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Navi Mumbai Police have rescued six women from a prostitution racket in a raid on a popular spa in neighbouring Navi Mumbai city and arrested its manager.
Acting on a tip-off that immoral activities are going on in the Arpana Salon & Spa at Sector 11 in Juhugaon of Vashi, a team from the Navi Mumbai Police's Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) raided the spa and rescued six women from the premises, all of them were sent to rescue home, police said today.
During the operation, police found six women who revealed they were being forced into sex work under the guise of providing massage services.
