Mumbai, Feb. 15 -- The Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate has been left stunned after six separate incidents of suicide were reported recently across the region, with all the victims allegedly ending their lives by hanging. The deceased include two minors aged 10 and 15, along with four adults, an official stated on Sunday.
According to police, five of the six incidents occurred on Friday, within the limits of Vasai-Virar city, while one case was registered in Bhayandar. Preliminary findings suggest that prolonged illness and depression may have been the major factors that led to these extreme steps. Separate cases have been recorded at the concerned police stations.
