Siliguri, Oct. 18 -- Six people were killed and several were critically injured in two separate car accidents. Their vehicles fell skidding off the road and rolled down into the deep gorge in the Hills of Darjeeling, Police said today.
Two tourists, who were returning to the plains of Naxalbari from Darjeeling Hills this morning, were killed after their car of five occupants rolled down from the narrow Pankhabari Road to about 150 ft gorge. The three injured, who sustained severe injuries, have been taken to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Siliguri. Their identities were yet to be known.
