Koderma, Feb. 3 -- In a significant verdict in a land dispute-related murder case, the court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Ramakant Mishra on Tuesday sentenced six convicts to rigorous life imprisonment and imposed fines upon them.

The court found the accused Umesh Yadav (47), Churaman Yadav (38), Ram Lakhan Yadav (35), Basanti Devi (33), Lalita Devi (32) and Avinash Kumar (19), all residents of Tham village under Chandwara police station in Koderma district guilty under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for murder and awarded them rigorous life imprisonment along with a fine.
