Mumbai, Aug. 9 -- On this day in 1942, the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi gave the mantra of "Do or Die" and raised the slogan "Quit India" against the oppressive British. Today, the country is facing a similar situation, with dictatorial tendencies spreading, seeking to devour democracy and the Constitution, said Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Harshvardhan Sapkal today.

"There is a need to raise our voice against these tendencies and give them the warning to "Quit India" as they are dangerous to the nation," he said.
