Shillong, July 10 -- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Meghalaya today on a four-day visit, during which she will review development initiatives and interact with beneficiaries.

Meghalaya Agriculture Minister Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh received Sitharaman at Ri Kynjai resort.

"Meghalaya is set to unveil a series of transformative infrastructure and development projects as part of its bold push for economic growth, sustainable tourism, digital inclusion, and women's empowerment," an official said. The Finance Minister will inaugurate the newly redeveloped Polo Shopping Complex in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma followed by an interaction under the Project Monitoring Information System (PMIS).
