Mumbai, March 29 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the controversial godman Ashok Kharat case, has apparently issued a summons to NCP leader Rupali Chakankar who had quit as the Chairperson of the Maharashtra State Women's Commission recently following allegations of her links with Kharat and mounting demands for her resignation.
Chakankar had also relinquished her position as the party's state women's wing president. While there is no official confirmation regarding the summons, it is understood from informed sources that she has been asked to appear before the SIT for questioning.
