Chandigarh, Dec. 7 -- A high-level investigation has been launched in Punjab after an allegedly leaked conference call involving senior Patiala police officials triggered a political storm. The Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted earlier this week, has summoned advocate and Shiromani Akali Dal leader Arshdeep Kaler to record his statement in Chandigarh.
Kaler, who had filed a public interest litigation in the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking a probe into the alleged audio call, confirmed receiving a formal notice. He is expected to appear at the state police headquarters on Wednesday morning.
