Guwahati, Sept. 10 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing allegations of Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi's purported links with Pakistan has submitted its report to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today.
The SIT handed over the report to the Chief Minister this evening.
Earlier in the day, Sarma told reporters that he would carefully study the findings before making them public.
"I will receive the report after returning to Guwahati. I will go through it in detail. Since this inquiry involves national security, the government will inform the people about the findings and the next steps only after a thorough review," Sarma said.
