Ujire, Aug. 26 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged mass burial of bodies in Dharmasthala today conducted a search at the residence of pro-whistleblower activist Mahesh Shetty Thimmarody in Ujire.
Thimmarody, who is currently out on bail following his arrest over alleged derogatory remarks against BJP national general secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh, reportedly sheltered arrested whistleblower Chinnayya at his home for the past two months.
SIT officials, accompanied by Chinnayya, carried out the search with a court-issued warrant from Belthangady, aiming to gather information and evidence from the activist's residence.
