Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 30 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Sabarimala gold theft case has recorded the statement of former Kerala Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran as part of its ongoing investigation.
Surendran appeared before the SIT and responded to questions related to the alleged disappearance and misappropriation of gold-plated items belonging to the Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple.
He clarified that during his tenure as Devaswom Minister, no files or proposals concerning the movement, removal or gold plating of temple valuables were placed before him.
