Dharmasthala, Sept. 1 -- Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader R Ashoka today warned that the main culprits behind threats to Hindu temples, whom he referred to as "whales", were evading justice, and called for a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the networks allegedly operating across the country and internationally.
Addressing thousands of devotees at the historic Dharmasthala temple town, Ashoka described the gathering as a dharma yuddha (religious war), stressing that local Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigations were only catching minor actors, likened to "fish in the pond" while the larger networks remained untouched.
