Farrukhabad, April 9 -- A shocking case of betrayal within a family has come to light.
A 25-year-old man, Karan Mishra, who aspired to join the police force and had recently appeared for a sub-inspector recruitment exam, was murdered by his own sister and her lover, police disclosed on Thursday.
Karan had visited his sister Pooja's house to drop her off and stayed overnight on Tuesday.
During the night, he discovered her long-running relationship with her lover, Jitendra alias Jeetu. Fearing exposure, Pooja and her lover allegedly conspired to kill him. Jitendra shot Karan in the head in Pooja's presence. They later disposed of the body near a riverside and cleaned the house to destroy evidence.
