New Delhi, Jan. 5 -- Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Monday accused the opposition Aam Aadmi Party of indulging in "cheap theatrics" to evade discussion on pollution in the Assembly, saying the party that ruled the capital for 11 years had failed to take effective steps to curb air pollution.
Sirsa said the sight of opposition AAP leaders wearing industrial-grade masks worth lakhs of rupees exposed their hypocrisy.
"These are the same people who occupied key positions as ministers during their 11 years in power, and all they have to show today is fear for their personal health, not any contribution to cleaning Delhi's air," he said.
