Nahan, July 1 -- In view of the incidents of damage occurring across the state during the rainy season, Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson District Disaster Management Authority Sirmaur Priyanka Verma has urged the residents of the district to stay away from rivers, streams and landslide prone areas during the rainy season.

Verma also advised the residents to keep an eye on latest weather information by downloading Sachet and Damini apps.

She informed that the southwest monsoon is active in Himachal Pradesh and Sirmaur district is highly vulnerable to various types of disasters.
