Baharampur, Dec. 4 -- Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee today said they have allowed the ECI's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to frustrate Amit Shah's ploy to grab power by imposing President's rule in West Bengal.

"If we had not allowed SIR in West Bengal, then there could have been a situation for the Centre to impose the President rule, and this ploy was of Amit Shah," Banerjee said. She was addressing a rally at the Baharampur Stadium in Murshidabad, a minority-dominated border district of the state with Bangladesh.
