Patna, March 23 -- Muslims continued to be given short shrift in BJP as the party failed to give ticket to a single Muslim even as its ally JD (U) awarded party ticket to only one member from the community for Lok Sabha election in Bihar.

BJP denied ticket to even popular Muslim face of BJP and former union minister Shahnabaz Hussain who had faced defeat from Bhagalpur constituency in 2014 Lok Sabha election.

NDA released the list of 39 out of 40 candidates for Lok Sabha election at state BJP headquarters here today.
