Bhubaneswar, July 3 -- Odisha Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo today directed officials to strengthen and upgrade the data management and operational security infrastructure of the Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC).

While reviewing the functioning of OPGC at Lok Seva Bhavan, Singh Deo, who also holds the Energy portfolio, emphasized the need to enhance the corporation's internal security systems.

OPGC is a key player in Odisha's energy sector, catering to over 30 percent of the state's power demand.

In addition to this, it establishes, operates, and maintains large thermal power generating stations across the state.
