Hyderabad, Feb. 28 -- Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is likely to participate in the exploration of Coal Bed Methane (CBM) resources in the Singareni region, following advice from senior officials of the union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Officials from the Ministry met SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti at Singareni Bhavan on Friday evening and suggested that the company take part in the upcoming auction of three major CBM blocks identified in the region.
According to officials, several CBM blocks have been identified across various states, including in the Pranahita-Godavari Valley region.
The Ministry is expected to conduct auctions shortly to facilitate exploration activities.
