Shenzen (China), Sept. 18 -- Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu continued her impressive run at the China Masters 2025 badminton tournament, registering her second successive straight-game victory to reach the quarterfinals here today.
World No. 14 Sindhu defeated Thailand's sixth-ranked Pornpawee Chochuwong 21-15, 21-15 in 41 minutes at Shenzhen Arena. Sindhu dominated from the outset, taking an 11-4 lead at the first-game interval and comfortably closing it out.
In the second game, Chochuwong briefly led 11-10 at the interval, but Sindhu won 11 of the next 15 points to secure victory. This marked Sindhu's seventh win in 12 meetings against the Thai shuttler.
