Gangtok, Sept. 21 -- Tseten Tashi Bhutia, former minister and Chief Advisor to BJP Sikkim Unit, has made an urgent appeal to the governor of Sikkim Om Prakash Mathur to implement the directives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah on the demographic changes in Sikkim.
In the letter, Tashi Bhutia sought to draw the PM's attention to a matter of grave national importance.
He said that Sikkim is the most sensitive border state of India, strategically located with international boundaries with China, Bhutan, and Nepal, and lying close to the vulnerable Chicken's Neck corridor that connects mainland India to the Northeast, with Bangladesh to the south.
