Gangtok, Oct. 12 -- Displaying the slogan "Be Kind to Animals" is now mandatory on all public transport vehicles registered in the state of Sikkim.

According to a new notification issued by the Transport Department, this directive complies with the instructions from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India.

Exercising the powers conferred under the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and in alignment with the fundamental duty outlined in Article 51A(g) of the Constitution of India, the Government of Sikkim has made it compulsory for all public transport vehicles to prominently display the slogan "Be Kind to Animals."The slogan can be written in English, Hindi, or the relevant regional langu...
