New Delhi, Nov. 4 -- Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur met Prime Minister Narendra Modi her today to discuss development and infrastructure initiatives aimed at accelerating growth in the northeastern state.
The meeting was confirmed through a social media post by the Prime Minister's Office on X.
The Prime Minister was scheduled to visit Sikkim in May for the Golden Jubilee of its statehood but the visit had to be cancelled because of unfavourable weather conditions. The Prime Minister later inaugurated the event virtually.
However, state Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang had called on PM Modi on October 6 and extended a renewed invitation to him to visit the state.
